Crazy For You

This last weekend Dallas, Christy, Zach and I went up to Show Low to see my little sister Katie in the High School Play, Crazy For You. It was a lot of fun to see them all dressed up in their funny costumes. I was pretty impressed with the play it had a lot of good lines in it and kept me laughing. Here are some fun pictures of Katie and the family after the play.

WE'RE BUYING A HOUSE!!!

We're buying a house!!! We put down offers on 5 properties in the northwest valley, and one of them accepted! We put down our earnest money this afternoon, and if everything goes according to plan, we'll move in in 28 days! One more thing to countdown, yeay!

This is a picture of our new house!

***Shoot for the Moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars***

What a fun week this has been!! It's not even over. It's amazing how much more fun my week was when I focused on doing at least one really fun thing every day. Even the days I had to work. Usually between Monday night and Thursday morning I'm either sleeping or working 12 hour shifts. Finding time in there for anything else is tricky.

Fun things I did this week.
Monday: Dallas and I road our bikes to Tempe Marketplace and had Sushi for Dinner!! I really do like Sushi, weird right!!

Tuesday: Dallas skipped his first class, slept in with me and to top it all off, woke up and made me a yummy breakfast before I headed off to work. (Isn't he just the best??)

Wednesday: Today we found out that one of the 5 offers we made was accepted. It was really surprising because it was the one house we really never actually thought would accept our ridiculous offer. (We offered a lot less than they were asking for.) I have the funniest video of Dallas expressing is excitement, but I can't get it to post :(
I'm excited. The house is actually a townhouse which we share one common wall, but they are so cute. Dallas and I found them when we were just driving around and I said look how cute!! So we decided to go see if any of them were for rent and now we're buying one instead?? How did this happen??

Thursday: Christy came over and together we road Dallas halfway to school. Then we stopped and went shopping!! It was so much fun!! Thanks Christy
I also drove to Phoenix and gave our realtor money(Earnest Money) to start the process of buying the house. We're having a inspector come and look at the "townhouse" on Tuesday!!
I'll post pictures then.
Dallas and I had a saladmaster person come over and cook dinner for us so we could get this free pan. We had to invite two couples and ofcourse what a fiasco that turned into. Dallas invited his mom and Mindy and Steve to come over. Well 4 hours before the lady showed up Dallas called his mom and she remembered that Jacob had his pinewood derby that night! So Dallas called everyone he could think of then Mindy came to the rescue and invited one of her friends. I got called into work, so Dallas ended up having to do it on his own. Then to top it all off the Lady who was supposed to come and cook the dinner bailed and sent over one of her coworkers. Needless to say Dallas was really disappointed with him. He took forever to cook the dinner, wouldn't stop talking, started arguing with our guests, and stayed at our house for 4 hours.
Sorry Mindy, Steve, and Melissa!! I hope the food was good after all that!!

What a fun week it has been. I haven't gotten very much sleep but it has been worth it!!

Andrea and I borrowed Lindsey's (Dallas's sister)
bike kiddie cart and went riding along the canal. We stopped and fed the ducks. It was so cute, they came swimming over to us as soon as we stopped and climbed right up the bank to get the food from us. They were very friendly little ducklings.

I have been so picture happy these days. I love posting my pictures on the blog. It gives me something to do. I really don't have much going on right now except work...

I just love those two boys in this picture.
Dallas: my tall, dark, and handsome prince.
Caleb: chubby, happy, and oh so cute.

Kyson has the funniest look on his face, I just couldn't resist posting this picture.

Caleb loves playing with Uncle Dallas. Dallas was bouncing Caleb on the ball, and Caleb kept coming back for more.

These are Caleb's flip-flops I couldn't resist squishing onto his chubby feet

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I was talking on the phone to my mom the other day about going to Show Low for the High School Play and I realized that April is almost over. I had a little bit of an anxiety attack!! April is almost over. AHHHHHHHH. What really scared me was that May is in 1 week. After May comes June and in June school starts. I'm not ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After a few seconds of freaking out I calmed down and realized I still have 50 days which is 7weeks. I still have time to prepare and have fun!!! Dallas and I sat down tonight and went through the calender to plan all the fun times we're going to have in the next 50 days. I plan on being able to record a fun thing I did for every one of those days. (We'll see how it goes???)

Dallas is in Denver, Colorado on a business trip this weekend. He'll be back sometime tonight. Before he left though he left me a beautiful surprise. Isn't he so thoughful :)
Dallas loves to have flowers on the table and so he buys me some every once in awhile.
These are probably some of the prettiest ones he's ever bought. They're georgeous. (I think I might just have to buy the actual plant, so I can have them all the time.)

----BIKES-----

WE HAVE NEW FURNITURE IN OUR LIVING ROOM...

Dallas and I discovered that we love biking!!! It is soo much fun, and it's practically free. That is after you buy the expensive bike, the bike helmets, the tires, and more tire stuff so you don't get flats every day. It's a lot of fun.

Thanks to Bill, Dallas's brother in law for letting Dallas borrow his really really nice bike to ride to school every day. Then we started riding around for fun. I've been riding my dad's bike which is way to big for me, until the brakes broke. After riding around without brakes for a week, I decided to buy a bike. (The blue one is mine:))

It is so much fun!!

Funny Man

On our way back from looking for a place to live we saw the funniest thing on the freeway... The picture isn't very good so let me try and explain it to you. Imagine a World War II motorcycle with an older man on it with a bushy white beard and a cigarette in his mouth. (What I imagine a The General would look like). He looked like a career military man trying to relive the glory days by taking his old bike out for a spin. It seriously looked like something Indiana Jones used in his grand getaway from the Nazi's.

Natalie and I spent most of our afternoon driving around Glendale/North Phoenix looking for a place to live once Natalie starts PA school. Let me tell ya, there are some very scary parts of Phoenix that you probably shouldn't drive through, let alone try and have a home. A couple of condos we looked at could have been scenes of violent crime for all we know. Yikes.

We found a couple of places that we really liked, but everything is so far away! We liked a condo on 7th street and Beardsley, an apartment on 43rd ave and Union Hills, and a townhouse on 35th ave and Union Hills. But if anybody knows of cheap housing in the northwest Valley, please please let us know! We could use all the help we can get.

*** I'M MORMON****

I found this picture online and I thought it was kinda funny. I feel like this all the time at work these days. People are constantly asking me to go out for drinks with them, or come to someone's going away party "out on the town." When I tell them I don't drink, they of course first say, "What are you mormon or something." This also cracks me up because they think they are being so funny. When I respond, "Yes I am," they are suddenly embarrassed.
I get asked to go out and party more now than I did in all four years of going to school at ASU, where I only got asked to go party 3 or 4 times.

I'm always surprised when people realize I'm Mormon, and they're surprised. They always realize how little things I've said or ways I've acted now come into place. This lady I've known for a year now at work at the hospital in Scottsdale found out I was "Mormon" today. I got such a kick out of it... After I calmly corrected her jab at what she thought we believed, she figured it out. Then she says, "That's why your so **** nice."

Mindy had her baby on Monday!!! He is a beautiful, chubby, big baby! When we get a chance to see him again, I'll post some pictures!

Dallas and I have 2 VERY NEW little nephews!! We are soooooo lucky!!
