Using cinder blocks for pots is a good idea! I hope you have better luck than I have growing stuff in AZ! Every time I planted a garden would be completely dead a month later. I think you definitely have to have a water drip system, and no matter what, everything needs to be in the shade. I think AZ is just way too hot to have a successful garden ... but maybe you guys are better gardeners than I was.
